a couple of questions

my new ex has developed a couple of small problems & was wondering if one is somting im doing wrong ,when i lock it weather it be with the keyfob or cl buton it keeps locking & unlocking it self you can watch it do it, thats one & the other is the rear wiper dosnt work ive tried the fuse but thats ok any obvious thing to look for thanx Guy

one thing i should mention is that the radio has been removed not sure if this will raise any problems ... also can i fit a cd player from a later explorer into my 2000 nf thanx in advance Guy

The locking problem could just be a short but more likely to be one of the door motors struggling (had this problem occasionally before i replaced my passenger lock motor). All the doors are shut properly aren't they???

For the rear wiper, again check the glass shuts properly. There is a little switch in the catch that disables the wiper when glass open. Otherwise it could be like mine and have a dodgy connection, mine needs a thump every now and again. I just can't be arsed to open up the back to have a look.

As for the stereo you can fit a 6000 or 6006 unit from any ford no problem but not the later squarer type found in 2004+ fords.
If you find one dirt cheap without a code pm me and i can give you the code.

Alternatively with the right ISO lead and a cubby tray, you can fit any new single din head unit. Or you can get a 97 centre console with the single din slot from chris quelch
