Looks pretty nice, man.

I cant wait to see more. Im picturing it in my mind with the big wheels & bed. I think you´re on to something here.. This idea is really really good.

Thanks guys, I had to fix a dent on my wifes car this weekend, but hopefully get some more work done on the truck in the evening the next couple days. Floor is mostly welded back together and has some strength in it again. Took the brackets off of the explorer seats to modify as well. hopefully start workin the firewall tomorrow.

in for updates. i like where this one is going!

started the firewall tonight. Cut the piece out that the steering column and brake booster bolt up to. got it positioned where it would work best.

After that I was looking at it and decided it may be easier to incorporate some more of the explorer firewall. Need some finishing fabricating but its a good start I think.

Did some more work on the floor today matching in the explorer firewall as well as a new tranny tunnel.

Who likes to lay under a vehicle and work. I tend to fall asleep if I do that.

Really diggin this build!

Cant tell you how many times I have fallen asleep on my Craftsman Creeper. Who knew how comfortable it would be underneath an Explorer!

Definitely looks like a fun build, can't wait to see the outcome.

Dang, I need to spend more time here. I missed this project. Subscribing.

Well it hasn't changed too much, But the floor and firewall are tacked in place and all there. Steering column, gas, and brake pedals in. And fired it up again.

More updates. Lotsa pics. Got the front end on and almost placed. Still needs to go back a couple inches I think. Next I think I'm going to Z the frame where the rad support sits and drop the mounts and rad down to fit in there.

With each picture, this build thread gets better and better.

Oh well if the Rat Rod guys get cranky over the fact that you built a 4wd 'Rod. It's what you want, and you've got a crap load of people here cheering you on man! Keep up the work!

i never would have thought to do something like this. lol
