Maybe you guys could help me troubleshoot them

1994 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4 142k on the clock

1. when I hit the brakes i get a clunking noise in the rear not all the time but sometimes.

2. My front differential seems to be leaking at the bottom of the seal how hard is it to replace it?

3. when my explorer warms up it seems to hold onto gears to the point where I have to tap on/off the gas to get it to shift but its only on upshift it downshifts fine.

if u guys could help me out I would greatly appreciate it :D

ok.. ill try to answer a couple since ive had 3 first gens and every possible problem at least once

1. had the clunk from my rear brakes after i changed the hardware kit out, check your self adjuster and the cable.

2. guy at a garage was workin on an explorer with a leaky front diff.. we saw some scrapes on the bottom, turns out the owner was jacking the truck up by placing the jack right under the front diff.. cover gasket leaked, threw some RTV on it dont know if it fixed the problem bc i got bored and left.

3. my 91 wouldnt upshift when you put it in drive when i first started it up in the morning, this was when i hit 130k+, i threw some Lucas Stop Slip in it, drove around for bout an hour afterwards, next day it shifted fine, still does as far as i know, guy that i sold it to tried to tear down a barn by hookin a rope to the rear bumper and tore the hell out of the back of the truck, i hate him now.

ok, hope i helped some

thanks for the help I will look into some of those fix's
