I just Got My explorers mtor fixed and i have a little problem when i try to down shift into 1st when i came to a stop it wont go in very easly i will grind if i push it and i can feel the gears spinning so i wait for them to slow down then i can get it in it seems like its not very snyced or somthing i dunno

Did you have any issues with shifting before the repairs. What repairs were carried out on your engine? Check your clutch master cylinder reservior for proper fluid level.

it had a slight issue somtime it was hard to shift into first but all the other gears were fine

i had to get a new motor because the old one siezed

i asked the mechanic if all the fluids were good and he said yes but i guess i sould check them myself also somthing whines when i push in the clutch it almost sounds like a power steering whine

So when the engine was replaced, the flywheel and clutch were not looked at?
I know it's a bit late to say but a good technician would have brought that to your attention. How many miles were on the old engine/clutch? At this stage I would bleed the clutch slave cylinder.
