Well I came this close [ - ] to pulling my X today. But we may have worked everything out, at least this is there last chance. I smashed the amp rack they were building. They also took a couple of licks at it too. ;-) But we are starting off again with a fresh new start, except for the doors. They are going to do allot for me at no additional costs. So that is good, and I got it in writing too. They will use only new wiring, and connectors, etc. and if the job calls for #14, they will run #12 and so on. All new RCA plugs, top of the line only and I know the difference, so they can't fool this old dog like the engine trick, LOL. The pressure is on them now.
Here is the new agreement.
All new stuff, period. Of course all of my equipment is new, but talking about install stuff. They will make the amp rack with my specs. I will pop in daily, unannounced, and if someone is NOT working on my vehicle at that time, without just cause, I will pull it. No questions asked. They will refund 100% of my money, and return each and every peice of equipment I have. I told them I am just too old for this BS job, and it has to get right, and I mean now. They have hired a new installer, and he has some nice work pics that I saw, and he is starting on the Explorer first thing in the morning. I still wont rush them though, as long as I know they are at it. That is all that matters to me right now.
Now another question for yall. You have seen the pictures of my doors I hope and you know they are pretty much stripped. What should they be trimmed out in? A tan vinyl, like the factory look? Or something in red that goes with the outside of the truck? I am thinking of putting in new carpet, colored red at that in the future, but would red trim on the doors look "ghetto"? The doors have to be redone cause the Boston Z6's wont fit without some custom molding done, plus I want to see those huge bad@ss crossovers somehow.
Thanks for your opinions, it means allot to me. ;-)
