Okay so I have the no second problem that I have read alot about and as soon as I find a new gov that will be going in. My main issue I'm having right now is when I went to adjust the bands the first band closest to the motor I was able to torque and back off as explained but when I went to adjust the next band the screw just turned all the way in. Never did it stop due to hitting something. My question is can a stuck servo cause the band to be in such a way that the adjuster screw would not make contact? I was driving with my wife and two little ones and from one stop light it took alot longer to shift then normal but by the 4th or 5th stoplight it was gone. I don't think my band is broken because I'll get second a couple times a day while driving it and it feels normal then the next time I stop it will rev to about 3500 then I let off to about 1500 and it goes into 3rd or 4th. Does anyone think a sticky servo is my problem? I would hate to have to remove the transfercase if I didn't need to. Any help would be great. Also RIP John Rock. I never knew you but the loss of any life is alway met with pain. My heart goes out to all the members of his family and all the great friends who loved him. RIP friend.

I had no second gear intermittently, then I tried to adjust the band, and like yours, it wouldn't torque down.

Lost second gear after that, and the shop said I broke the intermediate band. I just replaced the whole transmission.

But would it still catch second gear like nothing was wrong?
