My 94 explorer is having issues, I have played around with it trying to figure out what is going on with it but I'm no expert when it comes to automatics. I pulled down a incline of a driveway to turn around and when I put it in reverse to back up I had to get on the gas pretty good to get it to back up, you could feel as if the whole vehicle was shaking. My tranny likes to jump gears when going down the highway and upon accelerating you can hear something like a piece of metal rattling sounds like maybe in the tranny. I adjusted the bands, checked the vacuum modulator, changed tranny fluid and filter. I would appreciate anyone's help that knows automatic transmissions. A year ago I would get about 18mpg now I get about 15 so I'm not sure if that's beneficial to know or not...
