From the info I have the min. is 2720 and the max. is 3165. If you have a 'low stall' unit it might be a bit lower. Be sure not to 'stall' for more than a couple of seconds (just enough to get a reading) after it is warmed up (not just the engine, but the tranny as well). I think mine was a bit lower than 2720, but it was close enough to know everthing that was supposed to be 'holding' force was holding and not slipping.
alright, thanks both of you.... I was wondering, b/c I am getting a TC for my C4 swap, and was wanting to go with a lower stall speed for crawling.... and I needed to know what the stock A4LD one is, so I make sure that I"m goin lower than stock, and if the stock range is roughly 2700-3200RPM, then the 2100-2500RPM C4 TC will work great.
Just be carful not to go so low that you get out of the "max torque" range for the 4L engine or you will just have something that performs as though it was at part throttle.
ok.... thanks for the advice. I just found out that the stock stall speed for the C5 (I'm puttin a C5 bell on the C4 to mate it to the 4.0) was around 1500-1600.... is that too low for the 4.0, b/c I'm thinkin about goin with a stock c5 TC if its not??
