Edit: I wonder what happened to the SS in the last pic. I don't see lift arms on the left?

I think those lifts have cables that run through the metal tract on the bottom from one side to the other, so they only need one hydraulic lift cylinder to lift both sides instead of one on each side. My guess is a cable broke and one side dropped like a rock!
