? About Flex Fuel

I have a 2001 Explorer Sport 2wd and was curious if it was flex fuel or not. It doesn't say anywhere on it or in the manual whether or not it is, but the fuel filter fits for the flex fuel option. Maybe someone can help shed some light on this.

I don't believe any Explorers in this country were FlexFuel before about 2005. None of the 1st or 2nd gen. Explorers were FlexFuel.

look at your vin number if it has a K in the middle it is flex fuel i believe that 2000 was the first year for ffv

Really, I thought it was somewhere around 2005?
