? about intakes

i remember when i first signed up i found informative post about intakes but cant for the life of me remember where i saw them. either way i did a search and came up with nothing about the " XDI Xtreme Duty Intake", has anyone used this or seen it in action? im contemplating on getting it if i can find one to fit my explorer. i really like how it looks compared to the other ones i seen

ive been searching around and it seems they have it for many makes and models, even a universal kit. i kinda like the way this one looks but im unsure of its quality and benefits from it. i dont want a mac or k&n kit or even the vortec one cause they dont apeal to me cosmetically like this one does.... not really a reason to knock it tho cause i know they all have their benefits.
