whats going on guys,i got another issue with my truck.2006 awd mountaineer.here is what happened, driving to work last week and the abs and traction light came on.they would go on and off randomly i cant make it happen every time.twice i had the tires lock up on me pulling out of my driveway.i hooked a scanner up to it that i had at work and got a few codes.ill post the codes numbers tomorrow i left them at work, but i believe that the codes were for the front right sensor for no signal or circut.i have a live datastream on the scanner when i drive i can watch the mph coming from each sensor and they all are the same speed untill i make a turn and they change 1mph differenceso that makes me think the sensor is working fine??.next thing i ohm'd out the two front sensors and got 1.285 or 12.25 ohms for the front left.front right was .256 or 0.25 ohmsnow being that the ohms are that far off idk if that might have something to do with it also..fuses are good too.so im thinking it might be in the abs module but not sure?any help from you guys would be great ill be taking a trip down south soon and kinda need this fix asap, thanks guys.

Sounds like one of the sensors is losing the signal from the ABS ring (the question is it the speed sensor or is it the ABS ring?). I would say check the front bearings for excessive play that could allow the hub to move around too much since someone just recently posted a problem with similar issues that was causing the ABS system to kick in and out due to a bad front bearing.

While driving I don't feel or hear the bearing going bad but ill check it anyway, never know.the codes I ended up getting were C1234 C1145 C1963 B1676. Yesterday when I was ohming out the front sensor I greased the plugs.hooked the scanner back up and still had the two lights on.I drove the truck back and forth in my driveway 7-8 times and turn the key on and off a few times.I go back out there about 2hours later and the lights are gone.so far I driven alittle over 15miles and lights are still out knock on wood.ill let you guys know if it comes back.thanks!!

Sometimes the repair can be that simple and easy. Also it is not unusual for it to take a few cycles for the CPU to clear the codes out of the system unless you reset it with the code scanner.

My ABS and TC lights just came on as well. I'm not noticing any bearing noise but I'll see what I come up with when I pull the tires off and take a look.
I did replace my front bearings last summer. I wonder if it might be a tone ring.

I'll update when I find something out.
