The light automatically resets every time you turn the ignition off. It should come on for 5 seconds when you turn the key on (self test) and then go out. If it does not go out you have a hard failure in the system (broken wire, failed sensor, faulty connector, etc...). If you had a light on and made the repair the fault will still be in the memory, but as long as the system is functioning properly the light will go out after the self test. To clear the memory code(s) you will need a scan tool that is capable of communicating with the BCM. It doesn't need to be a "Ford" scanner, any repair shop should be able to reset it for you.

Mr Boyle, Thank you.. according to the Ford Srvc Disc, the abs system rests the computer after 80 drive cycles?, my ABS scanner Actron CP 9449 doesnt allow for reset, repair shop said for an explorer ford only? long as lite is out I guess? means as u say problem was corrected with the 2 sensors, retest after 80 cycles and see if code remains ?? maybe, Thanx again for the help
