I have an issue with check brake system and service RSC now light along with a B1342 code in the system. I've looked on this forum and went down a few rabbit holes following the comments. I've done some research and found a couple things it most likely is. The ABS control module replacement is the most obvious resolution. However, while looking on eBay I found a place that would repair my unit and mail it back for $100 less than what a replacement cost. Has anyone in this group done anything like this? Any other recommendations like how you go about doing the repair myself? The other thing I ran across was a possibility of the hub assembly in need of replacement. I look forward to hearing your advice and what you might have done to resolve this issue.

Thank you in advance for you knowledge.

welcome to EF! typically i shy away from those, soemtimes they can work, soemtimes not. imo a JY module if its configured the same way may be the best bet, cause usually these things dont really go bad. iirc b1342 was defective module, so not sure if the hub would sole that, btu if its part of the issue, then by all means. it aint hard imo

Never change any control units without checking the whole electric chain DTC related circuits

Try to reset and to relearn the module after harness check

Try to update the system thru Ford Oasis server.

Check for inner module components corrosion and bent main connector pins
