I have an 04 XLT 4 X 4 . About 6 months ago I replaced the rear brake pads and the ABS light came on the next day for about 10 mins. I just replaced the front rotors and pads on the front and the same thing happened. The ABS light came on the next day for about 10 mins. Is that normal? Btw.....I don't have the stock size tires anymore. I have 255 70 16's. Would that have anything to do with it? Thanks for any help in advance.

Did you get the ABS code? Sometimes brake dust could trip the system. You have to reprogram your vehicle to accept the new tire size. It could affect the speedometer, and the way the transmission shifts.

How do I go about re calibrating the speedo? Thanks for the help. I remember someone on the forum mentioned about the light being an indication of bad wheel bearings?

Thank you very much.
