ABS problem

First time to the forums and I already have a problem.
I just replaced the lower ball joints, rotors and one wheel bearing on my 98 XLT. My ABS dash light was not lit before I did the work, but now the light is on. The ABS sensors are hooked up correctly and my brakes work fine, but I do not know why the ABS light is on, or how to fix it. Can anyone help me with this? I really appreciate any help I can get.

...you might have damaged a sensor re-installing them or just put them in a little loose, or halfway....i would take a look again at them again...

Both units (left and right side) look like copper spools. They are clean, I was very careful uninstalling and installing them. How can I tell if they are damaged?

...smooth and clean is good...i would pull the tire and check that area to see if everything looks correct...i am not sure if this would work on your year but, disconnect your negative cable 10-15 min.'s...it might reset a code that might have triggere when you did the work...:scratch:

i will have to do that. Can I spray the sensor with anything to clean it (carb cleaner or brake cleaner)?

...are you thinking you have it all greasy and oily??? i think brake cleaner would be fine but it would take a lot for that item to read bad...the only time i have had a problem is when the brake pad fell apart and chewed a hole in it...it just looks like a thick stranded cable inside...
