Hi all,
Just checking to see if anyone has any info they can give me on this. I have 2003 explorer limited I purchased from a dealer back in April. It was in for some wheel bearing issues back in July and Aug. that were making noise and the ABS light was coming on intermitantly once in a while. They advised it was the bearings. After another month or so the ABS light came on intermitantly again and took it back and they replaced another bearing that started making noise and advised that is why the ABS light was on. During all they advised no ABS codes were present. Now last week the light came on steady and stayed on no matter what every time we drove it. Took it back to the dealer and they advised they changed the right front hub and sensor. This made the light go out however, the next day it came on again intermitantly a few times while driving and then went out. It hasn't come on in about 4 days now. Looking at the receipt it shows they found three codes
B1676, C1440 and C1145. Googling it it looks like the C1145 has to do with the right front sensor ( probably why the work was done on the right front). However, the other codes look like a voltage issue and a pressure switch issue. I am going to wait and see if the issue still happens then try and take it back to them or troubleshoot myself. I see posts about the pressure switch ( looks like code C1440) being cheap and easy so I'll probably start there. I also noticed that while the ABS lights is on MY cruise control did in fact work. Any other thoughts on any of these codes. Thanks
