Maybe someone out there can help me. I need to change my right front ABS sensor in my '93 4x4. The only problem is, thanks to the lovely Wisconsin winters and the city's gracious use of salt, I can't get it out. What's the best way to do this? Do I have to pull apart the whole front end to get behind the rotor and pound it out from the other direction or what? Any suggestions would be helpful.

yes

Yes, you will have to take the rotor off to push it out. Unfortunately there is no easy way to get it out.

What you'll see when you get the rotor off is a shiny metal cap which covers the actual sensor. The sensor is *glued* into the cap. The trick is to push it out without damaging the cap, because if you do, Ford doesn't sell the cap as a separate item, and you're into a whole new ABS sensor and cable for $100. Unless you can find a suitable replacement for that cap. And if you do, send me some.
