Hey guys,

I have a ABS light on my dash. I know it's a sensor issue. My question is, is there a sensor on each wheel? How much do they usually run and is it something I can avoid taking to the mechanic to replace.

a How To- would be nice also.

Thanks,

You have a left and right front sensor and one in the center of the axle housing that reads the speed of the center section.

When you figure out which one is bad contact me I can get you the OE Ford sensor.

This is an easy fix. There are many threads about this. If you're unsure about the diagnostics, you might want to start by just replacing the rear. It's very easy and very inexpensive and all of us have had it die around the 10 year mark.

Torrie is a great vendor, btw and will treat you right.

I took it to the Mechanic last weekend, he told me the right and left sensor was bad. Where he was getting the sensors from he was charging me $125 for each side, Pep boys had it for $192 for the set.

So if you can hook it up let me know :D

Ford retail is $ 175 each. I can't compete with after market sensors for $96 each.

125 for a sensor?? I pay $75 and i get the bearing and sensor

check ebay out or goto a shop, they usually have old bearings with the sensor still on them
