I'm about to install a new AC compressor. The new compressor I just purchased has a red tag on it indicating that I must ad oil to the compressor itself. I thought that the refrigerant had oil in it? Do I need to flush the system, ad new refrigerant, ad refrigerant oil, and then another type of oil to the compressor before starting up the system?

Refrigerants typically do not come with oil - although some do (read the can). So you will need to buy a bottle of oil and pour it into the pump before install.

After the new pump is installed and the system has been closed up (as in the AC lines are bolted onto the pump), you'll need to go through the entire process of vacuuming and recharging the AC system - which Glacier has documented in this sticky: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158183
