I am having an issue with my 2005 Ford Explorer. When I turn on the AC/Heater there is only out put on Max Air or Heat. The unit is Manual so if I place the dial on 1,2 or 3 there is no Air. When I place on 4 the unit works fine. Any thoughts?

Welcome aboard!! :salute:

The fan only working on speed number 4 is symptomatic of a bad Blower Motor Resistor.

Try doing a search for "blower motor resistor", there is several threads.

Good luck with the fix. :biggthump

Please keep us posted as feedback helps others reading this post looking for a fix to the same or similar issue!

Did you get you issue resolved?

Still working on it

I haven't gotten a second to work on issue. I am going to try to see if the blower resistor will resolve the issue

Good luck and be sure to keep us posted!!

I have the opposite problem, I have a 2002 explorer and when I turn on 1,2,3 it's some what ok but then in 4 it blows it out the defroster vents and floor vents! Any thought?
