So my 07 explorer has what seems to be a common problem with explorers. It wont switch from cold to heat and vise versa. I did the common first step and replaced my blend door actuator with no luck. When I plugged it in I heard it work normal for a moment but then started clicking then stopped. It would not move again so I took it apart thinking that maybe the motor spun past the half gear and was no longer touching but all was good inside. So i decided to test to voltage going to the belnd door actuator and found the i was getting weird readings. There was no polarity reversal or anything i would expect to find. So i bought an ac control switch on ebay and put it in... Still no luck. So i left the the actuator un bolted so i can reach down and rotate it foward for cool and backwards for heat. Although I have found a hack around the problem i would rather be able to use the control knob lol. It there a control module for the ac that is seprate from the main brain? Or is there anything eles that i am missing? Any help would be appreciated!
