Hi guys!
When i bought my X the ac-kompressor was not connected with the drivebelt since the compressorwheel didn´t turned at all. Previous owner had replaced the original belt with the shorter one used whitout AC.
I found out that it was the bearing in the pully that was the reason for the compressor not to turn so now i have changed it and are ready to test.
There is pressure in the system but probably not enaugh for the pressure switch to close so i tried to put a jumper cable in to it but i still dont get any power to the magnetic clutch and the controllamp in the switch on the dashboard will not come on.
What are the criterias for powerfeed to the clutch ?
The fuses are ok but i haven´t actually checked begind the switches and levers on the dash.
What i have done is to start the engine whitout the longer belt (since i havent received it from the shop yet!), short cut the pressureswitch, moved levers to fully cold and max AC, and pushed in the fanswitch(for AC).
What do you think about it?. shouldn´t it be enaugh for power feed to the clutch ??
The problem is that the car is bought from Germany and a dealer there so i can´t reach the previous owner but what should you disconnect if something like that happens to you ??, i mean when the belt is off nothing happens anyway so i cant beleive that they´ve done anything else for avoiding the use of AC button, which sshouldn´t effect anything anyway ??
/Well guys, appriciate your smart suggestions as always and if i missspelled anything...iám from Sweden !!
/Best reg. Per
