AC Turns On With Vehicle Start

My AC turns on when I start the engine frequently, even though I never have the AC on when I turn off. Its done it several times, so I want to know if other people have experienced this? I think it is a glitch with MFT, I have version 2.8.

Did you turn AUTO temp on? So when you start the car and the outside temp is warmer than your temp it will do whatever it needs to cool it down... so if that's the case I'd say it's by design, not a bug. See if it also happens when you set the fan speed manually.

there are settings on your left instrument panel that you program for when remote start is used..... turn it off if you like, but thats y u use remote start, so when u get in youre comfortable......

GregV8 is closest from what I have sen with mine. I am pretty sure the default is to go to auto, and heat or cool to where you have "my temp" set.

Everyone has the right idea with this. Please let me know what setting you have it on and if you have any other questions you’d like to be researched.

I have a 2024 ford explorer and everyone I turn car on the ac is on, no matter what the temperature is. It’s been freezing outside and my temperature is set for 70 but as soon as I start car the ac is on. I keep turning it off but it still comes back on when car is started again. Plus the Auto is not on either,

Welcome to the Forum.
Have you taken your Explorer to the dealer to have the issue checked out?
I would also suggest that you start a new thread in the 6th gen Forum as this is the 5th gen and there may be differences in the system.
