acetone

Here is something i am wondering. With gas stations using 10% ethanol, would acetone have a different effect because of a reaction to ethanol? Someone chime in. Thanks.

was wondering the same thing. I can get both with or without for the same price. Which is better?

If you have the choice, and all you care about is mileage, get the gas without ethanol. Ethanol in our gas hurts mileage, but of course there are many arguments for it verses MTBE.

how do we know if the stations we go to use 10% ethanol? are all of them doing it? anyone know of a gas company that doesn't use this new formula?

------------
The stations I go to like Gulf, tell you right on the pump if it has ethanol in their gas and how much.

I'm getting mine from Shell. If I'm not mistaken, I think if it has ethanol then it has to be posted on the pump by law. I know the shell I go to has a sign out front bragging that it has no ethanol.

It is required by law to post that on the pump.
