The pro comp 13120 is the single aal for the explorer. There's a double aal but I don't know the part number. I got mine from summitracing.com for around $40 shipped, and since it was my first time ordering from them they gave me a $20 credit on anything they sell. I don't know if they still give out the $20, but its still not a bad deal.

Oh yeah, you'll need to buy new center bolts, because the ones in the kit are too narrow and long.

Thanks. My problem though, is that they don't list that part for a 99' XLS. I'm wondering if they will fit on my application? Is there a huge difference between your 97 and my 99 as far as the leaf springs?

99% sure they will fit any ex from '91 to '01 as long as its a 4 door. I think all of the sports from those years have the mono leafs, so if your's is a sport you'll have to swap in the 4 door leaf pack before you can do the aal's. There's a good thread about the install in the "list of useful threads" forum, and if you have any other install questions post them here or pm me cause I just put mine in a couple of months ago.

Adda leaf

Thanks A. I have a 4 door so I should be good to go. I ordered the adda leaf last night, so I'll be installing them this weekend. I'll be putting my picture on the sight when I'm finished.

Sounds good. The only other thing I have to add is when you go to compress the springs back together after you add the extra leaf, make you use good c-clamps. I was using some cheap ones and one of them snapped in half while I was tightening it, and I'm not really sure how but it almost took of my finger. It snapped back up and left this huge gash on my finger. A couple of stitches and a band-aid were all it took to let me know to never to buy cheap tools again.

they will work. The rear suspension has been virtually unchanged (until 3rd gen obvioulsy) since 91. Yes, use the right tools for the job and use common sense during the install and its a walk in the park. Good luck.
