Okay so there is a totaled explorer near me that has the rear air and I have asked if he would sell, it seems promissing. My question to the EF community that knows a lot more about these things than I do, Is it possible to move all the components of the rear air from a 2002 explorer into my 2003 explorer without either 1 destroying both cars 2 releasing all the freon into the air?

I would think that this would be a task where the cost & time would outweigh the benefit. But don't let me talk you out of it. I'm interested in where this project goes. I have rear AC/Heat and must admit it is nice.

I really like the idea just wondering is it possible without too much damage, and about how much time is involved?

Yes its possible. No its probably not worth it.
