Adding running boards to my XLS

Hey Folks~
I just bought some running boards off an 05 XLT to go on my 05 XLS. I have short kids who can't get into my car lol. I'm having a little trouble figuring out the mounting though. I can get them bolted to the side of the body ok, but I can't figure out how to bolt the top part of the bracket to the underside of what would be the floor. Anyone have any ideas? What kind of bolt or size to help me get around it? I can attach a pic if that would help.

Did you get this figured out? I can try to grab a pic of one of mine, There should be some square or rectangle holes (been a while since I changed mine) that a captured nut slips into, then you just bolt straight in.

Yes I did get it figured out thanks!! Of course I bought the wrong bolt size to start with, but other than that it went fine lol.
