Adding the trip computer to a 2000 sport

Hey all --

Seeing that the trip computers a cheap to get nowadays, can these be wired up to an explorer that did not come with one? I would probably mount it on the overhead console somewhere as mine is a 5-speed. But would it be possible? or does my ex not have the supporting hardware?

2000 explorer sport.

you have to wire every single wire by yourself. if you don`t have it then you have to run everything by yourself

only 95-01 eddie bauers and limiteds came with message center in center console.
