Ok, so being as new as i am, i haven't had much time to read up on this stuff, so i am just gonna ask it all out.

I am planning on getting some 275/70r16 General Grabber HTS' on my 97 explorer sport after a 2" TT and 2" shackles. My question would be are General Grabbers worth the $? Any other tire recommended higher? and is it possible to go with bigger tires? if so what size, brand, etc

I am also planning on getting a Grill guard, any ideas of which ones look the best on explorers?

I really appreciate all this form has informed me of, and i am hoping to get some pics up after the mods to my truck, its gonna be sick!

thanks in advance

I've run Generals, Coopers, and BF Goodrich tires on my Mounty and of all of these my favorite is the BFG. They've always had excellent tread life, they're not overly noisy on the pavement and they're decent off road. Sorry, these are the BFG all terrains. You should be able to run 32x11.50/16 with no problems. Here's a link to a good tire chart.

These are stock size BFG AT's. Going bigger when I get the body lift.
Well photobucket is down. I'll post the pic when it's back up.

got to remember though, my truck is a '97 Sport, which comes higher (2in) than the regular 'sploder. im assuming that i would be safe putting 33s on, but i'm going to do some research
