Xtra, welcome to the site. To find out if they are legal in MD, check your local police department, they should be able to give you the info you need. If you do a search on the site, you should be able to come up with more info. Here is a recent thread that may help. Dead Link Removed

XTRA, I've seen a few cars getting pulled over for clear tails here in VA. I don't know about MD.

I know that here in florida if you have clear taillights you are twice as likely to get pulled over than without them.
I have clear corners, and the cops don't seem to care, but by buddy who drives a rice rocket, got pulled over and ticketed for his, if you are still interested here is a link to buy some clear tails

Clear tails.

Here in Texas it seems like everyone and their grandmother has clear tails. I heve never seen anyone being pulled over for them. Of course, could vary by city or county, not whole state. City governments like tomake silly laws about stuff like this, so everyone will have to check their local laws first. State governments rarely bother with this insignificant crap to make laws about.

hey. well, firstly, no total clears are legal.. as far as I know they are 50 state illegal. I know of several people on this forum, including myself that run them however. I love them personally. If you are interested in them, but don't know how well the law is enforced, ride around, find cars with clears and make note of then... if you see a car more than like 3 or 4 times in a month or so that has them, I'd say go for it, you can get them from www.autosyndicate.com or www.autoaccessory.com or even www.nopi.com althought I wouldn't recommend nopi, don't like those guys really ;)

one of the biggest problems I ran into was fading bulbs, for that I'd recommend a set of jamstrait 3157 LEDs from www.godfathercustoms.com or autosyndicate, they both have them. they are great, check my links in my signature for pictures.

Thanks everbody for the information.

glad to be of service, let us know how it turns out, some pics would be cool too ;)
