Okay, what do you guys think about these? It will be on my 91. Does it work good when you roll up the window (the ones that stick inside the window channel)? Does it reduce visibility very much out the front windows? Let me know what you guys think because I am debating about putting them on my Explorer. Thanks.

I have the kind that go inside the window channel on my '95 (made by VentVisor). They fit very nicely and they don't interfere with the front or the rear windows rolling up or down. I don't find they decrease my visibility any either. Mine work very well in the summer, because when I go anywhere, I try to leave the windows cracked a bit to let the hot air escape. Prying eyes don't even see that the windows are open unless they get right up to it, and even if they do, they can't get a hand in. I find it makes the interior MUCH cooler when I get back in. I think they look cool too.

Brian, I originally tried the ones that went inside the window channel, but while test fitting them, one of them cracked when rolling the window up. I switched to the ones that stick on the outside and haven't had any problems. Like Stephen said, they work great in the summer, and when its raining. Visibilty shouldn't be a problem, as long as you don't paint them to match the color of the truck.

i have a 94 xlt with the ones that go in the window channel
personaly i think there the best
and as steve said there very nice to have in the hot weather
another advantage would be that if you live in an area like mine were stuff often gets ripped off..i wouldnt recomend something thats taped on
the windows hold them in very tight and almost impossible to get of when there up

Brian1, I agree with Stephen S and Special Ed 100%. I also have the vent visors that fit inside the window channel and have never have a problem with them. I also think they have a cleaner appearence being on the inside. Plus they can't be stolen or pulled off when your windows are up.

I just got a set for my 91, they went inside the channel.
IMPORTENT!!!!make sure you get that little non-stickable piece on the front ones between the mirror plate and the outside of the channel. else your window tries to go on the outside of you visor. I filed the backs of mine down, where the window first hits, and when you do roll up your window, push-up with the palm of your hand, usally it'll go up another cm or two.

I put the WeatherFlectors on mine recently. They fit into the channel and require no tape, so they can be easily removed if necessary. I like the WeatherFlectors because they have a little "wing" that drops down to the door, instead of stopping at the top of the mirror mount.

WeatherFlectors

The U.S. distributor for WeatherFlectors is http://www.macneilauto.com, but I ordered mine through http://www.autobarn.com and was able to get them a little cheaper. Even though they just snap in place, they aren't really designed for repeated removal and installation. I don't think I would pull them out unless I was replacing them or getting rid of them.

I have VentShade ones, they're great. The rear right one broke when the 3M tape unstuck and the window cracked it. All I had to do is cut the "VentShade" name from the plastic and send it to the company with a note. They sent me a brand new 4-pack since they changed the design a little. Took maybe a week and a half to get them and reinstall the four. Their customer service is one of the best.

I just installed the WeatherTech window visors today.
The front ones require no tape, however the back ones are mounted with tape. They are a light smoke color and have a very clean look to them.
