Seems these are pretty scarce. I'm not looking for the euro clear I would prefer the normal stock style reflective plastic type but in clear that matches the stock headlights since mine are still nice and clear. From what I have seen there are a few obscure sites that have aftermarkets listed in clear, but who knows if they are actually in stock. I also found d dorman replacements on a few sites that specify clear lense (and even had a photo of the explorer lense for the side reflectors and to run signals in clear instead of orange. Are these real, or am I going to order and get orange anyways? I would just buy the euro clear style but I don't care to spend the 250 to upgrade to the euro type headlights.

You can still get the clear fluted turn signal lenses by themselves on ebay. One seller there still has a few pairs of the cheaper lenses for a discount price. The only thing about the cheaper lenses is they cheaped out so much manufacturing them that the housing is the same for both sides, they simply took a passenger side housing and flipped it over to make a driver's side housing, stuck a tab on it in the right spot, and made a pair of lamps that way. This means you have to flip the driver's side bulb socket. Not normally a big deal, but on a 20+ year old vehicle with crusty wiring, there could be issues.

You can also get the better quality DEPO brand sets that include the side marker reflectors and have the bulb holes made correctly like stock, but those sets are worth more and are pretty rare. There is a set on ebay still though.

All of the sites that used to sell fluted clear lens sets for the 91-94 have long been sold out. You can still get the clear lens/multi-reflector "euro" type, but as you noted, they are pretty expensive.

The sites that show a orange-clear lens will just send you an amber lens. There's a few listings like that on ebay as well, that show a clear-ish lens with orange tint to it, but the part number is for an amber lens lamp. Dorman doesn't make any clear lenses for the Explorer, either.

That's odd. The ones I found aren't clear orange or orangeish. They are completely clear in the pics and listed as such. I don't mind having to swap the wiring around as long as those lenses still fit properly. It's a little odd they would be so cheap they wouldn't buy a driver and passenger light to make them from.

As far as the euro style completely clear goes I would actually prefer them and the signals and side markers are actually cheap. 40 bucks or so for all 4 pieces. But the headlights to match run 250 and those euro clear lenses would look odd mixed with the stock style headlights.

Of all the links in that thread the only one I see with a product still available for purchase is the "euro" style clear turn signals and side reflectors at the end of page 2.

I should edit to say the last link on page 2 is the one I tried.

Ahh. Not what I'm looking for. Unless someone knows a cheap place to find the euro style headlights. 250 is about the cheapest i can find.

I just got the halo headlights in the mail. Should I put a non-yellowing uv resistant clear coat on them before installing?

You can put something like the Meguiar's UV protectant on them every so often, every time you wash/wax or something. Not sure how much protection any of them give, but it may be better than nothing.

Best way to avoid UV damage is to park in the shade and keep headlights out of the sun. Vehicles that are parked in direct sunlight all the time have their headlight lenses yellow within years. Vehicles that are parked in garages tend to have the original lenses stay clear for a long, long time.

Halo headlights? Any details or pics/links. I've never seen anything like that for these.

There are three wires coming from both of the large amber bulbs. The driver side is brown, black, and green/white stripe. Passenger is brown, black, and white/blue stripe. Anyone know if the striped wires are for the turn signals? If so, im assuming that black is ground and brown is power.

You should probably post in the lighting forum or the 1995-2001 Explorer forum about headlights for a 2000.

That is sad. 7 years ago those clear lights were $100 on eBay. I loved the crystal euro ones I had.......

I wish. At 100 I would buy the headlights and go with the clear euro setup. 250-300 just for the headlights, pass

I have a set, apparently they are really hard to find. They look good to :)

Is this what the OP is looking for?

Am I in possession of RBV gold? lol

I just ordered the clear turn signal lights off ebay. Not the crystal euro kind, but normal clear kind four0sport has. They aren't that common, but you can still find them online.
