Pretty much the same in Georgia. If you're over 80 decibels (stereo or exhaust) you can get a ticket for disturbing the peace. If you show up at court and point out the fact that Georgia police officers are not issued decibel meters and cannot prove that you're louder than 80 decibels, your ticket is dismissed

GAH. ive been pulled over several times in mass, in several different vehicles. when we asked why we got pulled over, the cops reply with "ah, i pulled you over because of your exhaust." they never said what was wrong with it. we never got any tickets, but my friend did find out that his license got suspended at midnight at about 130 that morning. it took a lot to get outta that one. i guess the cop thought something was fishy about a mint 89 caddie deville with an aftermarket exhaust. oh well.

Springtension... way to bring back a year old thread - but it caught my eye as I'm a masshole looking to have a flowmaster 50 dual system installed on my 5.0.

Even if it is "illegal" no shops I've talked to, or my regular inspection guy said anything about it being illegal. Though, he did try to discourage me

No doubt a loud exhaust attracts attention - but weedwackers doing 90, dubs and neons attract way more!!
