True, but I can't see paying the extra for 3" I'm sure the gibson is very expensive. Just removing the resonator and muffler for a highflow muffler should be more than enough and much cheaper.
Yeah. I went with the Gibson system because the OE exhaust is all welded together and I figured by the time I'd have an exhaust shop cut, paste, flare, and flange everything, the cost wouldn't be much different. The pipe wouldn't be any bigger and to get rid of the resonator the shop would have to bend a whole new tailpipe anyway. A lot of times the labor costs more than the material. Also for Christmas my sister got me a $50 gift certificate for Summit Racing. Also my time is worth a certain amount of money. If I spend say, $100 more for a system that me and my friend can install in a half hour at his shop (I paid him $50), it is worth it to me over saving $100 and waiting around all afternoon for a muffler shop to screw around making stuff fit (I've done that too). But that's me.
I hear you Johnny I happen to have a friend with a shop and a welder he cut everything out and welded it all back together as I sipped coffee. Total cost was like 150.00 give or take. Gibson makes awesome stuff so you can't go wrong I'm just a cheap *******
hey Kyson thats a sweet sweet set-up you got there. hows it doing so far? you see, I recently got magnaflow 14336 and so far love it, they were cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty (the salt on the roads here in winter kills an exhaust) so I got it here magnaflow 14336 , or you can try one of the vendors here, they are always running sales/specials. either way its a great system and very easy to install . anything I shoud look out for to maintain the WOOOOT on these babies? thanks
