Does anyone have a clue how to wire the stock headlight switch with foglight option ('02 XLT). I have aftermarket fogs (from ford). They tell me that I have to replace to WHOLE wiring harness to install them. I know that's a crock. The harness that goes in right now will not fit the new switch. So if anyone else has done this let me know how it's wired.

I dont know what Fords aftermarket kit consists of but, doing your own harness & using their switch should be no problem. The following is a diagram of the wiring for the lights: http://catalog.com/susq/other/auxlamps.htm
Also on that site is a chart for the wire size you should use for the harness.

Let me know if you have any questions.

All it came with was the fog lights, the mounting bezels and a bunch of wires. I bought the upgraded switch separately. It did not come with a harness and the current one doesn't fit. Would you suggest that I solder it in, or do you know of any junkers that I might be able to get just the harnes boot from? Also do you know of a diagram of the switch without the foglights, so I will know which wire is which prior to tearing it open. Thanks again for your help.... :D

Trying to reuse a wiring harness fron a junker would be more trouble than its worth. Just build a new one.
You may need a test light/multi meter to get the correct functions for the Ford switch.
I assume this is just the fog light on & off switch that you are referring toas that is all thats necessary.
Use a crimping tool for the wire connections and a splice connector to splice into the parking lights wire to power the switch.

I think i see wht you mean about reusing another harness. I will get a good side by side close up so you can see what i am working with here when i get back from vacation in a few weeks... thanks again:D
