i have a kenwood kdc-mpv622 cd/mp3 deck laying around from my firebird. if i put it into an ex. with the stock 6cd changer, will they work together? if not i'll probably just pull the changer w/ the stock HU, since an mp3 cd can hold like 180 songs :)

Nope. Stock changer won't work in aftermarket units.

I think I've seen some kits that will allow such a setup. Check www.crutchfield.com or give them a call and see. The other option is to see if you can do an FM Transmitter setup for the CD changer. Not sure if that is possible with the stock changer though and you will lose signal quality.

I'm sure if you can hook and after market changer up to a factory head unit, than you could go the other way with the right adapters.

I have a Kenwood, the first MP3 player. I called Kenwood and found out that it will operate a Keg like a Kenwood changer. The Kegs are very expensive though, so I'm just enjoying my 98 song CD. It's my second disc, and I have'nt needed more. LOL,
