air box mod question

if i drill the stock air box will this effect the two vaccum hoses which connect to the back of the air filter box

i would say definitely not since only leaks between the vacuum hoses and the intake will cause sensors to malfunction. before the hoses though, it doesnt really matter where the air comes in.
