Air Filter Swap - V8

Anyone have any experience with new filters on their 4.6 3L. With the Stang V* there seems to be a lot of options. Will these fit the Mountaineer/Explorer Boxes. Ive been loyal to K&N but have heard good things about Green Filters and C&L as well.

Sent questions to all -- K&n--Green -- Air Hog -- With No Answers - Even sent them the Motorcraft No. and size (8x151/4)- I guess they are not ready for us yet - Tis a shame because the 06 owners want them NOW

so none of the mustang gt stuff is compatable? I know with my 97 Mountainner 5.0, most everything was interchangable with little to no modification.

Well -- I contacted them all thru their websites- Told them I had an 06 Explorer XLT- 4.6L V8 - Gave them the motorcraft air filter number and the size (8x15 1/4) filter - And here we sit -
No K&N - No Green - No Air Hog - Like Tony Soprono said - Ya Got Stuugotts
Damn shame I'm not in the filter business- with all the guys chasin the new Explorer V8 - I'd want my filter in them and I'd use their use of it in my marketing
