99 Mountaineer V8
I currently own a '99 Mercury Mountaineer with a 5.0 V8. I am looking for a cold air kit fir this truck, k&n doesn't seem to make one for the 5.0 V8.
Anybody got a suggestion besides the K&N drop-in?

I am also planning on new Tires, I am heard that the 31*10.5 fot on the stock rims without having to shave the body. Anybody actually has these tires? Picture would be nice.

Other affordable bolt-on suggestions are welcome too.

are you sure k&n doesnt make one? theres also a KKM (if you want to call it a cold air kit) and Volant ones.

the kkm one can be found at www.kustomz.com (i think thats the site.)

you might wanna try a search for the volant one, i dont know their site.

Thanks tbomb, kkm makes one indeed.

I checked again, but i can not find a K&N kit, the kkm will do.

There's a regular on Ebay who sells an aluminum adapter kit & you simply remove the stock air box & use your own filter (ie: K&N). If I remember right, they were selling for around $20-40 US. Also, if yours takes the round filter, I have an extra K&N (brand-new-in-box) I'd be willing to sell for ??

I got a better one

I had one of those KKM adapters and filters and replaced it with a full tube intake. Its much louder and looks a lot better. I got mine off of ebay from a guy that sells them pretty regularly i think. It is a MAC brand.
