What do you mean cycles? My 99(rear only) will check itself at any time, it usually will only do something if the vehicle is not on level ground. If you move it at any time and change the position from level to not level, or not level to level, expect it to do something shortly.

The ARC system will make a light clicking noise when it tests the level, just before turning on the compressor. My 99 truck is my mail vehicle, so I am driving it about 3.5 hours each day. I'm changing the load in the back often, so very often I hear the system checking itself. It actually lets air out or pumps more in about twice each day, when I notice it. So my application is a high use one, you may not hear it for days in normal use. Regards,

Well after i park and close doors it clicks to check level then turns on to adjust as needed to become level is there a specific amount of time it will or should do this or is it dependent on ground it sits on ...i just wana make sure its not leaking and causing it to adjust over and over the system cheak say's OK but just wondering?

Hi, i have an 97 ltd with air ride front and rear, it sounds to me like yours is working fine. It will constantly check and adjust ride as load and conditions change. Once the ignition is off it will adjust once within a few seconds and then not again untill it is started again. Hope this helps.

It sounds okay generally. You are just paying close attention to it. If you were only on level roads with unchanging loads, and then it ran a lot every time you drove it, I'd wonder. A tiny leak may cause that, but unless the compressor is running a great deal, it's not a problem. The compressor is reliable, really the only issues they have is when there is a big leak. There is an eBay seller right now who has lots of old new Ford parts, and the compressor is one, for $175. I wouldn't worry about it, every time something is worked on like brakes etc, then look over the lines and connections. Night,
