I've been getting an airbag code 12 on my '95 explorer for 4-5 months now. I searched this forum and google, and finally realized that I'm missing a fuse. #19 in the power distribution box. (Mini fuse #5)
according to this thread mini fuse 5 is "10A Air Bag diagnostic monitor"
I figured it would be a simple fix of just adding a fuse, but it looks like the female connector for fuse #19 is either gone entirely or completely recessed, because the fuse doesn't make any connection when I put one in, and sits funny compared to all the others.
I found this thread explaining how to take the power distribution box apart, but before I do that I just wanted to verify that there is supposed to be a fuse there. My dad (who helps me with car stuff) is skeptical that there was anything there in the first place. So I wanted some reassurance that this is probably the cause of the airbag code.
