Last week got done installing some Monroe Max Air shocks I scored off of E-Bay. The installation overall was fairly simple. Remove your factory shocks and mount in the new Airshocks. You will probably need to pull out on the new ones a little as they come compressed. Assemble the orings, lines, and valves and find a place to route the lines through the frame. It's much easier if you remove the spare tire as it was on mine. Actually, it might be required especially if you have dual or some kinda crazy exhaust set up. For the location of the valve stem, We drilled a small hole underneath the rear hatch compartment where your emergency jack stand is. All in all, so far I'm satisfied, it rides firmer and also alleviated that rear sag that All gen 2 Explorers are known for. Got the psi currently around 90. And while we were at it, went ahead and put some 2011 Mustang 5.0 badging on the fenders. ;)

The current stance. Note it is on a sloped driveway here.

Then this week I got new LED Halo Projector headlights. I went with black and it was a good decision. I feel they match the color tone of my truck much better than the chrome. Install was slightly difficult getting the factory set up out. I just yanked everything out and breaking the lower tab of my grille in the process. Youch!. I then replaces the LED bulbs with amber ones and the low and high beams with silver stars. I'm VERY happy with the new look and functuality of these! I went ahead and used two of the LED bulbs the headlights came with and put them in my licensce plate lights.

looks nice.

Ditch the "v8" emblems.

I'm pondering that, but for now will leave them now to see if it'll grow on me. If it doesn't I'll go ahead and remove them. Just don't want to make an impulsive decsion at the moment.

It does make it a little busy with the xlt and v8 emblems already in that area...You might find a good spot under the hood for the 5.0, or on the glass where I put my 302 sticker. Just the 5.0 by itself where the xlt emblems are would look good too.
