I'm installing an alarm and its saying use the black/lt blue wire for the door trigger. I tested this and it only gets power when the dome lights are on? So if I turn the dimmer switch to off before exiting my vehicle, then no qalarm will go off

did you ever find the answer? I can not even find the all door trigger wire.

Yep that's the one and only door trigger, what I use for mine, and thats just if the doors opens, just leave the dimmer switch in any position besides all the way down, and it works just fine, besides you should have a shock sensor with that alarm too right?

The shock sensor is on-board. But I think there should be another wire cause I have my door ajar light on even with the domelights non working in my X (dont know why). I am thinking in getting the signal from the door ajar light. I think it should go from the GEM module to the gauge cluster.

black/lt blue is a positive wire make sure it goes to the positive input on the alarm and all is good.

I tested it, and finally found the cable. Was not in the driver´s kick panel, but the passenger. And it does not get power if the dimmer switch is all the way down, as stated.
