alarm not arming all the way not chirping

i just got a 96 explorer it use to chirp before when i locked the doors don't do it no more?? red light it dash stay on solid i think it use to blink Thanks for looking

You need to click the "LOCK" button twice in order to get the confirmation. Whenever you're arming the system, the "THEFT" light will light up solid for 30 seconds after the last door/liftgate glass is shut. After that, the "THEFT" light will flash every 2 seconds. But that's for the factory system.

Don't double post. it's very annoying when you do that.
