alarm not arming all the way not chirping

i just got a 96 explorer it use to chirp before when i locked the doors don't do it no more?? red light it dash stay on solid i think it use to blink Thanks for looking

If it chirped, it was an aftermarket alarm. Not a Ford one. Sorry, can't help

look under the stering wheel there should be a button to reset it i have a after market one and it did it ones so look around it should have one

Sounds to me like it is in valet mode.

I agree with Hornz2000, it probably is in valet mode. Turn the key to on, or start your truck and press the button under the dash. That should do the trick
