Alarm sounding off for no reason!!!!!!!

The last couple of days my alarm has been going off for no reason. I thought it was due to accidentally hitting the panic button with the key fob being in my pocket but it happened last night when I was no where near the truck and I had the keys. Anyways does anyone know what could be causing this or how it can be remedied. I do have the keypad entry.

Do you happen to have a door switch (for dome lights) which is malfunctioning-maybe making an intermittent connection internally?

It just happened and I ran outside to my truck and the dome light was not on. So I don't think that is the problem is there anyway to test them?

I feel the pain here, twice now when my '97 has set for a period of time with the doors unlocked and I open a door it goes off, also 3 times now I've put it in park, turned off the ignition opened the door and was able to make everyone in the parking lot look at me. is there wires into the ignition switch that may have something to do with this?
