Alarm system woos

Al

Happy to hear your rolling again. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you. Who would have ever thought an O2 sensor could prevent the car from starting and not permit the codes to display. As I said before, the better the technology, the harder to fix. I say bring back the distributors with points, oops, showing my age aren't I.

I still think it is the fault of the wharf rats......

Oh yes, bring back the early 60's engines....

Gimme a 4 bolt 302 w/351 heads, a Holley 4150 double pumper, a Edlebrock intake, MSD ignition, tri Y headers, glass packs. All attached to a Muncie 4 speed stuffed under the hood of a '65 Stang coupe!!

I once had just such a beast.... in the body of a metallic green fastback, ca 1968. Boy do I midd that hos.

I actually had the combo I described back when I was in high school. I want it baaaakkkkk. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa!!!

Hey guys,
Now those were cars, not the crap they are cranking out today. Bumpers were exactly that, solid chrome and sturdy, didn't crack and cost 1,500 to replace either. I remember back in 64 as a teenager, my brother in law had a brand new Chevy 409 SS, we piled in there and went on my first (and last ) ski trip to Vermont. Almost broke my legs so I put that hobby on the shelf. As I recall the thing got about 6 MPG and made many pit stops en-route.
Remember a gal that had a 62 Vette and used to drag race on a local highway. She had a sign on her car that read "If You Can Beat Me, You Can Eat Me".
The babe wasn't blessed with beauty and I think she lost some on purpose.
The PT Cruiser attempts to bring back the classics but can never do so. Amazing how things have changed,
need to pull wheels off to change plugs, consult a rocket scientist when the thing won't start, and get a loan to pay the bill. And this we call progress.
Sorry guys, just having a senior moment, at this stage maybe that babe in the Vette wasn't that ugly after all.

Its day 3 and my Explorer is still running fine. No problems whatsoever.

Fingers crossed.....

Three and a half days and still running like a top.

Maybe the O2 sensor was indeed the problem source.

Road trip scheduled for tomorrow....

It's been almost a week now and the Explorer still runs.

I reckon that the problem is fixed,

Thanks for all the advise and help.

Al

Looks like they finally got it right. Just one more thought, have you had any heavy rains there in the past week? Just breaking your chops, your confidence should be restored.

I totally agree with ya, These new beasts are close enough to perfect for me... when they work,

Over 3 weeks and all is well, I reckin the O2 sensor was indeed the problem.

Maybe we all learned something from this situation; I certainally did.
