almost no lights

I just bought a 91 4x4 sport, and on my way home from work I couldn't hardly see anything. This is my first explorer, or Ford for that matter Are they known for low light levels, and has anyone upgraded their lights? I don't want anything illegal just some brighter headlights.

silver star's are the way to go!! and some aftermarket driving light's or fog light's to go with them

i've got some hella 500's on my s-10 i am thinking about switching over

Are your headlights lenses cloudy and yellow and rough to the feel?? If so, use a 1500 or 2000 grit sandpaper and CAREFULLY wetsand the lense. After that, use some rubbing compound to smooth out the area, then get some plastic polish and make it really clear. To top it off, get some better headlight bulbs such as Silverstars. Good luck!
