raise it up a little bit until it can be aligned.
You cannot just drop a AWD truck as far as you want, you can only go as low as the alignment shims can be adjusted. Unless of course you get into custom fab :)

its now AWD its 4WD.. ill never put it in 4WD being lowered...

you still have axles there and they will limit what you can do. either raise it up some, get custom , or burn your tires.

I know its not what you want to here but thats why the 4wd/awd guys don;t normally go that low.

bad azz truck by the way rims look great.

Sorry the AWD and 4WD explorer use the same front suspension, just a different transfer case. So when it comes to lowering they are similar.

unfortunately you don't have many options here. if you lowered the front 3 inches then you're camber is probably out 3-4 degrees. 2.25 + is the max adjustment you're going to get and that's with an Ingalls kit adjusted to it's maximum. normally starting out for every inch you drop you loose approx. 1 degree of camber but the more you lower it the degree of negative camber you will experience gets much larger. the only thing you can really do is either lift it back up to a point where it can be aligned within factory spec. or have a shop custom make you some upper control arms but that's going to cost some coin and you'd have to find a shop that knows what they're doing. good luck.

Since the suspension on all 2nd gens is the same, why wouldn't you be able to go just as low on an awd/4wd as a 2wd? It can't be the limits of the CV's because they can be run at up to a 20 degree angle- you'd have to go a little more than 3" to get it to that angle. Are the 2wd guys just running negative camber?

the 2wd has a spindle, the 4x4/awd uses a hole through the nuckle setup like fwd's. with spindles, they relocate the actual spilde up X inches to do the drop and not have the alignment problems. for 4x4/awd, you either have to have custom arms, or a special knuckle made with the cv hole moved up X inches.

I have never seen a 2nd gen lowered with spindles though. Most of the really low ones I have seen had the torsion bolts removed or a torsion flip.

i guess ill raise it up enough until it can get aligned... i dont want to drill out my torsion keys... i tryed to a little and i dont think its really working out too well for me i think i might buy those custom ones... im not totally sure what i want to do yet...
